Tales of Glory Nativity Set

The Nativity Story is one of the more well known Bible stories even to those who are not regular church attendees. It is one that brings the Bible alive in a captivating way. It is a story that appeals to all generations from the youngest to the oldest.

If you look around during the Christmas season, you will see Nativity sets of all kinds. Hand blown crystal to giant lawn ornaments and many other varieties in between.

Many of us have them in our home as decorations. A lot of them, we would never let our children touch, much less play with. They may be fragile or heirlooms, but in any case, off limits to little hands.

One2Believe has a solution. It is their Tales of Glory Nativity Set. It is a toy that will be loved around your home, not just at Christmas, but all year. It includes 17 pieces (Joseph, Mary, baby Jesus in manger, 3 kings,2 angels, 2 shepherds, male camel, male donkey, male sheep, female sheep, stable, tree, and a barrel of hay) and a Birth of Baby Jesus Storybook. These 3” pieces are just right for tiny fingers to move around and re-enact the Christmas story.

I was impressed with the construction of this toy considering its relatively inexpensive cost of $24.99. The people and animals have a bit of a “cartoonish” look to them, however I think that appeals to children, and increases the toys play value. The set is recommended for ages 3+.

The kids, who have played with this, have had a ton of fun with it, and I have been told that the 3 wise men are awesome!!

One2Believe has other Bible based toys for children; many based on Biblical accounts others on Bible ideals. If you are looking for some good wholesome toys for Christmas, you may want to check them out.

If you are interested in a chance to win this toy visit my fellow TOS blogger Michelle’s blog A Life Better Than I Deserve where she has a contest up for one of these sets until November 27th.

When Tammy isn’t busy playing with toys, she is blogging at Three Different Directions.

Our family has loved playing the Christmas story with our Nativity set through the years. We even play with it all the way through Epiphany (Jan 6), which commemorates the adoration of the Magi.
There is a new Bible study/treasure hunt game to use with your Nativity set: Magi Treasure Hunt. Find it at http://www.countdown2college.net/blog/resource-catalog/magi-treasure-hunt-christmas-bible-study-game
It’s one of my homeschool-mom-entrepreneurial projects :-)

At our place we have the Little Peoples Nativity set and its a big hit. I totally believe that giving kids something hands on is a great way to get them interested in a special topic
