Two weeks ago I wrote about issues we were having and you all gave me ideas and support. Thank you so much! It means a lot to me. The issues haven’t resolved themselves, but we have found a happy medium that is making everyone happy. I have noticed that handwriting is getting better, as well as comprehension. That makes me happy, which makes the boys happy.
One would think that for as many years as I’ve been doing this I’d be an old pro and it’d be a piece of cake. Our trials have served as a reminder that, like life, things ebb and flow, and what works one day may not work the next and we continually have to tweak it until it works again. And that process happens over and over and over again.
Again, many thanks for all your help! I truly appreciate your advice and insight!

Even after homeschooling for over 20 years, I am constantly “tweaking”. Circumstances change every year–sometimes daily–and we have to change as well. What works with one child may definitely not work for the next, what works for one semester may not work the next, your children grow, needs change, you add another child, needs change again…One of the blessings of homeschooling, I think, is that moms learn to be flexible!
