Keeping Preschoolers Busy

by Kris on April 15, 2009 · 4 comments · babies/toddlers, preschool

A big question I hear a lot wherever homeschoolers gather is: how do you entertain toddlers and preschoolers while schooling older children? Here are some of my favorite resources:

Keeping Your Preschooler Occupied

Preschool Activities

A Preschool “Curriculum”

Building a Sensory Table (or a “rice center“)

Homeschooling with Babies, Toddlers and Preschoolers

And, if you’re looking for something more formal, check out these ideas:

Letter of the Week

DLTK-Kids

Kidzone

What are some of your favorite tips or resources for keeping the littles occupied during school time?

I keep a list of some of my favorite pre-school activities on my blog at cleverkiddos.com if you would like to take a look. :)

I’m glad it was helpful, Kristi.

I’ll have to check out your list, Texas. I’ll only have my niece with us a few more weeks, but maybe I can find something for that time that she’d enjoy.

My daughter is almost 5 and this past year we have done a lot of random things.

Children learn so much through play, that they don’t really need a formal plan.

Great links.
