Here are some Activities that you could use in your homeschool to lead up to your Thanksgiving celebrations.
Turkey Feathers: Purchase some brightly colored feathers and have your children group the feathers by color. Then you could find a template of a turkey on the internet that they could color and glue the feathers on.
Milk Jug Turkey: Clean and dry out a gallon milk jug. Using construction paper cut out feathers and have your children write out what they are thankful for on them. Glue the feathers to the back of the of the jug. Make a turkey face using the construction paper, and glue that to the front of the jug.
Thanksgiving Cornucopia: Cut a paper shopping bag so you can flatten it. Cut out a cone shape like a cornucopia. Cut out pictures of things you are thankful for from magazines and glue them onto circle of the horn.
Popsicle Stick Log Cabin: Create a log cabin on paper using Popsicle sticks, older children can create a 3D cabin.
Popcorn Necklace: String popcorn on thread, using a needle, make sure younger children don’t poke themselves. Add raisins, craisins or pasta if desired.
What sort of activities are you doing in your homeschool in preparation for Thanksgiving?
