Angie, You've touched on something. I've been homeschooling again after a looong break and had become rather self-righteous about my kid not missing school while the PS kids might be making up days until July! But it was really a sense of pressure to "get it all done." Thanks to you and Kris at Weird, Unsocialized Homeschoolers for giving me permission to let go.

You’ve touched on something. I’ve been homeschooling again after a looong break and had become rather self-righteous about my kid not missing school while the PS kids might be making up days until July!
But it was really a sense of pressure to “get it all done.”

Last week we experienced our first winter in the South with snow- and surprisingly everything shuts down so for the first time ever, my husband was able to stay home too! The five of us had a great time watching movies and playing games…well, almost a complete snow day without school…the kids haven’t caught on yet that I consider Scrabble to be educational!:)
