My kiddos are still in elementary school (and preschool) right now, but I sent myself this article in my Google Reader so that I could be sure to check it out later. Thanks so much!

Wonderful post! My daughter will be entering junior high and that's intimidating enough. It's nice to know that if we continue to homeschool through high school there is help.

Great post Tanya. I truly believe you will miss out on some of the joy if you forgo the homeschooling high school journey. This is the time when you really see the fruits of your labor. - And they are good. My 17 yr old is attending a university part time.

We will be graduating our firstborn in June, and I never even considered NOT teaching him through high school. A combination of home studies, dual enrollment, and co-op classes have worked perfectly. In our co-op, we provide roundtable discussion groups twice each year focusing on homeschooling the high schooler. It's amazing how much great information can be shared among people who are in the trenches!

Matthew Bullington, a homeschool graduate, does College Prep workshops for parents. He's doing one soon in our area, and although I can't attend, it sounds fantastic. Looks like he does them mostly in the south: http://homeschoolcollegeprep.com/workshops.html.
