Deal Ending Today for Homeschoolers: On Saturday night of this weekend, I went in to Joann Fabrics and saw that they are having a special weekend where all teachers get 20% off their entire purchase. I didn’t realize until right after we left that this included homeschooling teachers! Shortly thereafter, I went back in and signed up for their teacher discount program (which gives me 15% off all year long). I then was able to get 20% off on my whole purchase (even sale things) today! Since I had originally been in looking at sewing machines, I took advantage of the weekend deal and saved $60 on a new sewing machine.
(Please note: You might want to call your local Joann’s Fabric to find out what they need to see from you to verify that you are a homeschooler. At my location, they accepted seeing a membership card from my local homeschool group.)
If you like to use coupons, be sure to check out sites like Free Coupon Alerts, Free Flys (samples and coupons), SavingsAndCoupons.com, Cell Fire Coupons, Coupons.com, and Share the Save.
If you have ever wanted to try the Motivated Moms planner system, this is a great time to try it out. The Motivated Moms Planner is normally $8 for the downloadable chore planner (for the year), but it is currently only $4, since so much of the year is already gone. The nice thing about this, of course, is that you can try it out to see if it fits your schedule and routine without having to pay full price.
EcoMom, a site with eco-friendly products for Mom and baby, is offering 20% off your order for new customers. Just use the code NC20.
Canvas People is offering new customers a $55 credit, which means you can get a free 8×10 canvas made from your favorite photograph. (You’ll just be responsible for paying for the shipping and handling.) This could make for an amazing Christmas present!
If you’ve never checked out the Hooked on Phonics outlet, you might want to check out what they have available. Some items are up to 70% off! (When I bought some things previously, I was also able to find a coupon code online for an additional 50% off that total. So, if you’re going to buy, be sure to look for an additional coupon code as well.)
Nielsen Home Scan Consumer Panel is still accepting new families. You can earn points for products by scanning products that you buy with the scanner that they provide for you. And, in case you have wanted to join the Nielsen Home Scan Consumer Panel and just couldn’t because you didn’t have a landline, they now have a Nielsen Home Scan Consumer Panel program specifically for those who only have a cell phone.
Although it has been a long time since I did surveys online, I know that some people find them to be a great way to earn a little extra money (or possibly free products/prizes). While I don’t personally have experience with any of these companies, I thought I would pass along some links of companies that offer survey programs: Inbox Dollars (new enrollees get $5 for signing up), MindField, Panda Research ($3 for signing up, surveys pay a variety of prices ranging from $3 – $75), Survey Panel Group, Nielsen Digital Voice Research Panel (offers chances to win cash prizes for Internet surfing – this is a different program from the Nielsen programs listed above), Toluna, and Zoom Panel.
Vista Print has a variety of current offers for items where you only pay for the shipping, and get the items for free otherwise. The current Vista Print offers include: Personalized Tote Bag and 10 Free Products (rubber stamp, sticky notes, wall calendar, flip book, tote bag, mug, and mouse pad).
(Now, it is important to note that you need to be careful while ordering from Vista Print. I have ordered tons of things and never had problems, but some people have had issues with extra charges. From what I have heard, you just need to be very aware while ordering and careful that nothing is checked that you wouldn’t want to be checked. I have probably ordered from them 25 times though, and never had an issue.)
