Authors
Our authors come from a variety of backgrounds, use just about every schooling style under the sun, and have come to home educating for a myriad of reasons. But, one thing that unites us is our passion for home educating and sharing that passion with our readers.
Take some time to read about our authors to get to know them each better. You just might find someone who you not only want to read more about here at The Homeschool Classroom, but also on their own personal blogs.

Angie writes at her own blog, Many Little Blessings, about faith, family, and a variety of household management topics. She is also the founder of The Homeschool Classroom, Catholic Mothers Online, and Catholic Gadget. She is also an artist and a web designer. Angie holds a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and a master’s degree in special education, though she likes to call the degrees “very expensive pieces of paper that are in a filing cabinet now.” She began homeschooling her three children (two with special needs) during the summer of 2008, after her two oldest children had spent a few years in the public school system. Angie is an eclectic homeschooler, trying to find her way to being more of a hands on homeschooler. (Angie’s Posts on HSC)

Tonya and her husband have homeschooled their three children ages 16, 14 and 13 for the past eleven years using every homeschool method ever invented before settling on what seems to resemble the Charlotte Mason philosophy with an unschooling flair. After traveling for the past four years with her husband’s job, they finally took a huge step of faith and became a Full-time-RV-Living-Roadschooling-Family. You can read about the day to day happenings of their journey at Live the Adventure. (Tonya’s Posts on HSC)

She loves to travel, read and write. Cheryl also attempts to go green, but doesn’t always succeed. This is why she refers to herself as crispy, not crunchy. You can learn more about Cheryl and her adventures in homeschooling, going green and becoming a better Christian on her blog Adventures of a Somewhat Crunchy Mama, or follow her in Twitter at @SomewhatCrunchy. When not circled ‘round the little brown table with her four children, willing them to learn their fractions and diagram their sentences, Julianna Lawson is most often seen zipping by in a black mini-van, carting kids from one lesson to the next (and hitting every garage sale on the way). In the rare quiet moments that sneak into her life, she is eager to grab a cup of cream-laced tea and curl up with a book or enjoy a charming British drama with her very obliging husband. Julianna writes about family, faith and the fullness of joy over at Petunia June. (Julianna’s Posts on HSC)
