During the first couple of years of our homeschooling, I didn’t go to any homeschooling conferences or conventions. I relied on books, the internet and our homeschooling group for more information, as well as online shopping for supplies. I definitely felt like something was missing in that experience, but I didn’t know what it was until the first time I went to a homeschooling convention.
I have been blessed to have been able to go to several conferences and conventions since that time, and I can say, without a doubt, that my favorite of those was one of the regional Great Homeschool Conventions.
If you’ve never been to one of them, I can’t recommend it enough! (And, if you haven’t been to one, you might get a chance by entering this giveaway.) When I went to one, not only did I get to be around so many wonderful homeschoolers, but I got to do one of my favorite things — shop for homeschooling supplies while being able to actually look at them in person! (Plus, I got to run into Samantha from To Be Busy at Home. Crazy, huh?)

Wow – I would love to win this. We have never been able to go to a convention. How could I choose just 1 speaker? There are so many I would like to hear! If I had to choose just one, I think I will go with John Stonestreet.
As a DNG reviewer, I’d love to hear/meet Amanda Bennett. There are very few speakers on the website I wouldn’t have an interest in hearing. What a great line up!

Carol Barnier is one of the many speakers we would love to see (again!). My first and only convention was the Mid West convention. It was an awesome experience!
I would love to see Tedd Tripp. I have read a book on raising kids from him and it was tremendous. I would love to go to the Memphis great homeschool conference as that is the closest one to me.
