Great Homeschool Links – August 13, 2011

If your like me your knee deep in trying to plan your school year. I thought I had everything planned out and then well, I changed things up, and now I have to plan all over again. So I decided to make this month’s link list all about planning and organization.

Block Scheduling: Peanuts are Evil
We are doing something different this year, and I’m glad we have the ability to go outside the box to learn the way that best suits our family.  Isn’t that what homeschooling is all about?

Pinterest: Simple Homeschool
If you haven’t jumped on the Pinterest bandwagon, what are you waiting for? I don’t have enough words or space to express my love for Pinterest.

Velcro Dots: Live, Learn and Love Together
I don’t know why I have never thought of this before, but I love the idea about using Velcro dots on your white board and posters to save wall space.

School Prep: Pieces of Us
Words can not even begin to describe how much in AWE I am of her planning and organization.

Using Your Space: Write, Click, Scrapbook
This is a post on helping scrapbookers user their space more efficiently, but the lessons could easily transfer to us homeschoolers.

Planning, Plannning, Planning: The Kelly Eight
I love how she assigns each child a color. I started doing that and I like the idea of continuing it until they graduate from our homeschool. It does make things easier.

Taming the paper mountain: First Grade at Last
I got some of these boxes last week, I labeled them Monday – Friday and to file for the last box. Let me tell you how much easier it was to have everything for the day in one box and all I had to do was open the drawer and go. I only have one set but soon both kids will have their own Monday – Friday boxes.

Monthly Teacher Boxes: Mrs. Bond’s Fantastic First Grade
You’ll have to scroll down this post some to find them, but I am in love with the monthly teacher boxes.

Art Photo Book: A Bit of This and a Bit of That
What a great idea to keep all the art we do forever and ever.

File Box Planning system: Rockin’ Granola and Springs of Joy
This system is what I’m trying to achieve. I’m not doing so hot but I love the idea of having everything copied and in folders for the year.
