The following is a guest post from contributing writer Lauren.

During the summer months, lots of homeschooling families re-arrange their school rooms. As children grow older, the items needed in the room tend to change.
Some of us not quite-so-creative souls need fresh ideas to help with organizing our homeschool classrooms. Here are some ideas to get your organizational wheels spinning.
Homeschool Room Makeover with Lockers and Chicken Wire – Just a Night Owl
This mom has great ideas and unique pieces in her homeschool room: a set of newly painted lockers, chicken wire to hang projects, and a good look at her drawer/workbox system.
Homeschool Room with Different Centers - Three Little Zzz’s for Me
While I’d guess that this family has a larger homeschooling space than most people, they do a great job of organizing the area into different sections: reading, calendar/schedule, workboxes. There is also a peek inside their homeschooling closet, where you can see how books are organized neatly on wire shelving.
The Tale of Two Homeschool Rooms – Not Consumed
This family had a traditional “school” like classroom in their old house and transitioned to a more inclusive style in their new house. She shares excellent organizational tools and ideas for both room styles. I love her idea for magazine files.
Homeschool Closet Organization – June Cleaver Nirvana
If you need help with organizing your homeschool closet, this is the site to see! This family turned their guest room into a homeschool room, making great use of the closet space.
Homeschool Room with Multiple Learning Areas - Kinder Days
This homeschool room is another example of creating multiple learning areas: workbox area, FIAR materials, nature study area, and (my favorite) lapbook supply center. This blogger’s best tip is how she uses a back-of-the-door shoe organizer!

Thanks for mentioning my school room! I just saw this post today!
I just saw this post and wanted to thank you for mentioning my post on our school room. :)
